WASH Results Programme Manager
c.£45,000 per annum

Plan International’s South Asia WASH Results Programme is a £25 million project in Bangladesh and Pakistan with over 7 million beneficiaries. The objective of the programme is to increase access to sustainable water and sanitation facilities including the promotion of hygienic household toilets, as well as the practice of hand washing with soap, by men, women and children in poor rural communities. Plan International UK is recruiting a Programme Manager, based in the UK but with frequent travel to South Asia, to provide overall management of the programme.
You will be responsible for coordination of project activities to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the programme and donor reporting in line with the project contract. You will work closely with consortium partners and represent the consortium at UK and international level to all stakeholders, including the project steering committee.
You will be educated to Masters level or equivalent in WASH, engineering, business or another relevant development-related field (or have equivalent experience) and will have extensive experience of managing complex international development projects, preferably in the area of WASH, with responsibility for multi-million pound budgets. You will bring experience of living and working in developing countries, preferably South Asia, and be willing to travel for up to 25% of the time. You will be able to demonstrate how you have used and shared programme learning to improve practice and will offer a strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation and how it applies to international development programming.
