Plan International UK is a global children’s charity. We strive to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world.
Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we're tackling the root causes of gender inequality and child poverty, and we are now active in more than 70 countries worldwide.
We are looking for an experienced Evidence, Learning and Impact (ELI) Specialist to contribute to Plan International UK’s programme effectiveness by strengthening the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) of our portfolio. Working closely with our other ELI Specialist, this role will have a specific focus on promoting a culture of learning and improvement across our International Programmes Directorate by developing and supporting processes and systems to achieve this.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and you will need significant experience of working in a technical or advisory role providing oversight of the MEAL elements of development and humanitarian projects, and of providing tailored MEAL advice to colleagues both in the UK and overseas.
Key to success in this role will be your experience of common methodologies and processes for project planning, and your expertise in quantitative, qualitative, participatory and gender-sensitive data collection methodologies and approaches. You will also need experience of developing systems for and building capacity in monitoring, evaluation and learning at project, programme and preferably an organisational level.
As an ELI Specialist with a varied and demanding workload, you will be able to demonstrate effective time management and a flexible, solutions focused approach. If you enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment and share our values we would love to hear from you.
