This is an exciting time to join Plan International UK as the organisation expands its humanitarian work globally. The Cash and Voucher Assistance Advisor (CVA) sits within Plan International UK’s Humanitarian Unit and is responsible for developing and driving Plan International UK’s strategic direction in the CVA sector to ensure an increased portfolio of quality CVA programming.

The post holder will support the scaling up of our humanitarian work by ensuring effective programme design and implementation in collaboration with the unit and colleagues globally, with a strong focus on gender awareness and protection of affected communities, and a clear focus on the specific needs of girls.

The role works closely with global CVA advisers at Plan International to strengthen knowledge and experience of CVA throughout the federation, embedding quality standards in tools and resources and providing training to uphold accountability and achieve impactful results for people, especially girls, affected by crises.

The role will include travel in support of programmes funded by UK donors, and as surge support in the event of an emergency.

As the post holder you will have significant and proven experience in designing and delivering CVA around the project cycle, with expertise in utilising CVA modalities to achieve [child] protection and education outcomes. You will have experience working in diverse humanitarian contexts, and possess a strong ability to move between organisational, strategic tasks to focussing on intricate programme detail with ease.

Interviews will take place on w/c 29 May 2023. Candidates will also be asked to complete a 1 hour test on the interview day.
