About:

Friends Without A Border (Friends), founded in 1996, is a New York-based global health NGO with a sister office in Tokyo, Japan; whose mission is to provide medical care and health education to children across Southeast Asia.

Friends opened Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) in Siem Reap, Cambodia in 1999. In 16 years, AHC has provided medical care to over 1.5 million children, educated thousands of healthcare professionals, and prevented childhood illnesses throughout Cambodia. AHC offers Inpatient and Outpatient Departments, an Eye Clinic, Dental Clinic, HIV/Homecare Program, Neonatal Unit, Social Work Department, Laboratory, Surgery Department, and Pharmacy.

In 2015, Friends expanded its mission and opened a second hospital, Lao Friends Hospital for Children (LFHC) in Laos. The hospital includes Inpatient and Outpatient Departments, Laboratory, Pharmacy, and Emergency Room. We are currently building our capacity and training local staff to prepare for the opening of our Surgical Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Neonatal Department.
